2026 SUMMER SCHOOL IN TOLEDO. FOURTH DAY June 25th. Today was the day in nature. Treking and wild bath in the morning. Visit to a cave in Arenas de San Pedro plenty of stalactites and canoying in the afternoon. In the night, cocktail in the Humanities Faculty and concert in Padilla’s Square with the stunning background of the old town. Thanks to “Despacito y al compás” for their atonishing musical performance.

2026 SUMMER SCHOOL IN TOLEDO. THIRD DAY June 24th. We were received for an interesting visit in the facilities of the Pharma Company Servier. We could visit the manufacturing system and research laboratories with special focus on sustainability activities. In the afternoon and into the night, we have visited Puy do Fou, with its astonishing performances.

2026 SUMMER SCHOOL IN TOLEDO. SECOND DAY June 23th. The day started with the oficial reception at the gubernamental palace of Castilla-La Mancha with the Vicepresident Jose Manuel Caballero. We follow with an interesting seminar at San Pedro Mártir Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha with Ivan Deviakov for Stora Enso. Consotium meeting of SBBE with participation of the Industrial observers. After that cultural visit to the Toledo gems with a great guide Alejandra highlighting the cozyest places in the town.

2026 SUMMER SCHOOL IN TOLEDO. FIRST DAY June 22th. We have started with a visit to the IMDEA ENERGÍA Research Centre in Móstoles (Madrid) visiting the research facilities. Special thanks to David Serrano Granados the Director, for receiving us and deliver a nice talk on SAFs (Sustainable Aviation Fuels). After that cultural visit to the Prado Museum with a great guide highlighting the most important drawings.

Last Friday of January was an important day for the 4th cohort of SBBE students. As the first semester of their studies at Wrocław Tech. drew to a close, the group came together for a celebratory dinner that encapsulated the essence of their time at the university so far. Far from being a final farewell, it was a happy “do widzenia” to Poland before the students embarked on their next adventure in Spain for the second semester of their studies.

The 4th cohort of SBBE participated in an immersive industrial visit at PCC Rokita in Brzeg Dolny, Poland. The students were able to gain insights on industrial research and large-scale chemical production. In particular, they observed how lab-scale processes of polyurethane were transformed into industrial scale as foams. The students were able to witness quality control tests performed on the synthesized polymers as well as learn how foam properties are optimized to meet specific client requirements.
