Clamber Biorefinery receives the visit of the SBBE students. What’s better than visiting a biorefinery to illustrate the field of activity of a Sustainable Biomass and Bioproduct Engineering engineer? Thanks to Javi Mena and Javi Pinar for their explanations.
Our students of the Sustainable Biomass and Bioproducts Engineering Master had the opportunity to discover more about Cervantes and his incredible novel “El Ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha”. Then, they also visited other museums, such as the Manuel López Villaseñor Museum, which is located in an ancient house from the XV century, and […]
SBBE Students were doing their lab practices of Operation Units and Reactors of Biomass Treatment II
Students had the opportunity of knowing two key institutions related to the activities of SBBE. First, they visited the ISFOC Research Center for Solar Energy. After that, they visited the recently built facilities of LIFE4TYRES to recycle end-of-life tires.
EMJM SBBE program was promoted to a wide audience in Kenya (at University of Nairobi and at Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology) and in Nigeria (at University of Lagos and at National Agency for Food & Drug Administration and Control). It was also the opportunity to discuss research cooperation.
SBBE students had the opportunity to visit the waste utilization facility GAĆ in the Lower Silesia Province. They could see innovative systems for waste sorting that allows the processing and bulk management of paper, cardboard, PET, HDPE, foil mix, glass packaging and aluminum cans. Students could also familiarize with technology of electricity and heat production […]
The EMJM SBBE students have already started the 2nd semester in Spain, in the land of don Quijote de la Mancha. They were welcomed by the Mayor of Ciudad Real and the University’s vice-Rector. The summer semester is dedicated to the engineering knowledge focusing on biomass processes’ mathematical modelling, simulation, and optimization.
The skiing attempt on easy slope in Karpacz. The funniest sport activity during semester in Poland. The next day trekking in the mountains was even more exciting due to strong wind and snowing.
The SBBE student got familiar with preparation and hand made the Polish dumplings (pierogi) with cream cheese, anions, and potatoes.
Closed fermentation process of beer production. Post-process biomass management.
