At the beginning of the third week of September Dr Waldemar Krawczyk gave a series of lectures and practical sessions focused on the analysis of psychoactive substances present in plant-based biomass.

Throughout the training, students were able to deepen their understanding of production methods and analytical techniques applied to the study of natural and semi-synthetic drugs derived from coca leaves, cannabis, and heroin. The students also had the opportunity to carry out practical exercises for detecting and analyzing psychoactive compounds.

Thanks to this workshop, they were able to recognize that the production of such substances not only represents a challenge to public health but also has a negative impact on the environment, making it a relevant issue that deserves further attention.
