“Do Widzenia” to Wrocław: SBBE 4th Cohort Celebrates the End of the First Semester

Last Friday of January was an important day for the 4th cohort of SBBE students. As the first semester of their studies at Wrocław Tech. drew to a close, the group came together for a celebratory dinner that encapsulated the essence of their time at the university so far. Far from being a final farewell, it was a happy “do widzenia” to Poland before the students embarked on their next adventure in Spain for the second semester of their studies.

The dinner was a celebration of the last semester’s accomplishments, the forging of new bonds of friendship, and thanking the academic community at Wrocław Tech. for making the students’ time there so memorable. The students were joined by the professors, lecturers, and staff who had helped them through the first semester of their studies.

Everyone was able to partake in regional specialties – it was a great way to celebrate the local culture and hospitality of the Polish people. But the evening was more than just a meal. The room was filled with laughter and competition as the students and faculty members participated in trivia games to test their knowledge of their host city, Wrocław, and Poland in general. It was a great way to look back on how much the group had learned about the culture that had influenced their first semester.

Perhaps the most important part of the dinner was the ability to connect outside of the classroom setting. Being able to connect with professors and lecturers in a social setting allowed the students to see the personalities behind the academic expertise. It was the perfect opportunity for the students to come together and celebrate their collective efforts.

This dinner was an experience that the students will never forget and the perfect way to cap off their time at Wrocław Tech. The 4th SBBE cohort is leaving Wrocław with full minds, full stomachs, and full hearts as they pack their bags and head off to Spain!
