Visit to “Lagunas de Ruidera” (Natural Park) and Montesinos Cave

Students of SBBE UCLM Master visited the natural park of Lagunas de Ruidera. They discovered how the lakes were created, the importance of calcium carbonate, and the importance of promoting sustainable tourism for preserving unique species of plants and animals. In addition, the guide explained to them the stories about Montesinos Cave and their relation to the most famous Cervantes book. Afterward, they also had time to have fun with kayaks and to swim in the lakes.

Visit to the Ciudad Real Museums: Don Quijote, Manuel Lopez Villaseñor and Elisa Cendrero

Our students of the Sustainable Biomass and Bioproducts Engineering Master had the opportunity to discover more about Cervantes and his incredible novel “El Ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha”. Then, they also visited other museums, such as the Manuel López Villaseñor Museum, which is located in an ancient house from the XV century, and the Elisa Cendrero House, built in the XIX century. SBBE program promotion in Africa

EMJM SBBE program was promoted to a wide audience in Kenya (at University of Nairobi and at Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology) and in Nigeria (at University of Lagos and at National Agency for Food & Drug Administration and Control). It was also the opportunity to discuss research cooperation.
